Ask Us Anything, We Are Here To Help You

Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist?
Most private patients can make an appointment without a referral. A referral, approval or additional paperwork may be required for some Medicare, DVA, WorkCover, NDIS or other funded arrangements. Please contact the clinic if you are unsure.
What should I bring to my first appointment? +
Please bring the shoes you wear most often, any current orthotics, relevant scans or medical reports, your medication list and any referral or funding information that applies to your appointment.
What conditions do you treat? +
Ian’s Podiatry assesses and treats a wide range of foot and lower-limb concerns, including heel pain, ingrown toenails, corns and callus, warts, diabetic foot risks, sporting injuries, gait concerns and footwear-related problems.
Will I automatically need orthotics? +
No. Orthotics are only one possible treatment option. They will be recommended when the assessment indicates that they may provide a meaningful benefit. The options and costs will be explained before proceeding.
Can I claim through private health insurance or Medicare? +
Private health rebates depend on the patient’s individual policy and level of cover. Medicare rebates may be available to eligible patients with the appropriate GP referral and plan. Patients should confirm their eligibility with their insurer, GP or the clinic.
How do I book or change an appointment? +
Call 0472 901 078 or submit the appointment request form. Please provide as much notice as possible when changing or cancelling an appointment so the time can be offered to another patient.
